Lovely location on the banks of the River Severn - perfect on a warm sunny day, but also cosy indoors in the winter. Food is excellent and a good selection of ales.

What a lovely pub! We chose it as my partner needs gluten free options and the reviews were great. Riverside location, dog friendly, gf options - and it didn't disappoint 😃

Food was exceptional. Atmosphere lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful but a little slow on what seemed like a quiet Thursday early evening. Continues to be one of my favourite places to visit.

The lunch we had today was absolutely lovely...the best meal we've had in the Woodbridge for ages...the waitress was excellent very efficient and friendly...Nice and warm in there too...one slight criticism ...the chips were tepid...apart from that 5 stars

We had a booking for Christmas Day but sadly my wife died after an unexpected accident.
I had to cancel the booking giving them a few days notice to offer the table to someone else.
I received a confirmation e-mail to say the booking was cancelled but no mention that any refund
Since this comment was made I have been contacted by the company to say a refund will be issued I look forward to receiving this and hopefully I will eat at this lovely place again which was one of my wife’s favourite restaurants.

5 mile walk down the Silkin Way from Telford. Cold and foggy outside, lovely and warm inside. Great tasting food and very nice polite staff. This place is always a favourite with me.

Wow what a place! Visited a number of pubs/restaurants in the area and this is by far the best. Large car park, friendly and efficient staff, great food at good prices, great range of beers, all in a large, airy setting with several log fires and buckets of character. Wish it were my local! Just be aware that if you come in from the far side of the river you have to cross a weak bridge with tight size restrictions - just about squeezed across in a transit custom. Really impressed, great work guys :o)

We booked the Woodbridge for Christmas Day and had absolutely no regrets. Being a group of 9 it can be difficult to find somewhere that satisfies everyone but the Woodbridge outdid themselves on Christmas Day.
Having pre-ordered our menu choices in advance the team were well prepared with timings and drinks were always arriving when needed without having to ask.
The value for money was great, with 3-courses each for around £95, we were incredibly well fed by the end. The turkey was the best I think I’ve possibly ever had, not a single piece was dry and the selection of fresh veg was fantastic, they didn’t even scrimp on the roasties. A favourite dish amongst many of us was the salted caramel tart for dessert which was utterly mouth watering.
Thank you so much to the team who worked that day, you really outdid yourselves. For anyone considering a care-free Christmas Day out, I highly recommend the Woodbridge.

We visited the Woodbridge for Christmas Day lunch this year (25/12/24). We ate on Christmas Day 2023 and had such a wonderful experience and this prompted us to book early for Christmas 2024. We paid in excess of £90 each, so not cheap by any standards
On the whole this year we left a bit disappointed, not with the service or with the setting but with the food and cutbacks.
Last year we were given a lovely Christmas goody bag on arrival containing 2 vouchers (1 per person) for future use at The Woodbridge, chocolates, 2 candy canes and a small bottle of pink gin. I'm pretty sure we had a welcome glass of champagne on arrival too but not totally sure. This year there was one candy cane, one voucher, one bag of chocolate coins, no gift.
The menu on the table didn't seem to reflect what we had been offered on the pre-order form (there were choices which I would have much preferred on the table menu. I asked a waiter about this but they said they didn't know anything about it.
The panacotta I had for starter was OK, nothing special - perhaps a little tasteless. My husband enjoyed his starter.
The main course was probably the biggest let down. The turkey looked as if it was cut from a turkey roll - ie in round pieces with flat stuffing in the middle. The sprouts were just about cooked but very hard. Both desserts were delicious.
Honestly, I don't feel that the meal or experience was worth in excess of £180 and sadly we are both not keen to repeat the Christmas Day meal at the Woodbridge next year.
